Agenda for May 2022
- Educating you on the details regarding the new Kentucky Educator Credentials System was launched on May 2nd. All 42,000 new and existing KY K-12 teachers, 3000 KY K-12 administrators, and 200 school district HR staff will be using going forward. (Phil Coleman, Mike Leadingham, Steve Roark).
- Records were set on the number of KY K-12 online tests successfully provided & taken in a single day and in total over the week. Thanks to all those in districts, KDE and our vendor partners that helped make that happen. Other states have not had similar success. (Mike Leadingham, Phil Coleman, Paul Shoemaker)
- New KY K-12 reg proposal on remote and virtual learning (Marty Park, Ben Maynard)
- Will need an updated Letter of Agreement (LOA) from districts by this July for the Next Generation KY K-12 Internet RFP/contract for e-rate purposes. (Mike Leadingham)

- KY K-12 Digital Readiness for SY 2022-2023. The closing and starting of a fiscal year will mean the completion of the district’s Digital Readiness Survey and their Technology Activity Report. Area Technology Centers (ATC) will start providing annual digital readiness info (Mike Leadingham)
- Security baseline project (Bob Hackworth, Chuck Austin)
- E-rate update (Mike Leadingham and e-rate team)
- Second KETS offer of financial assistance to districts (Mike Leadingham, Amy Young)
- The Building and Technology Wiring Project Form Version 5.0 (Mike Leadingham)
- Status of 2022 Stilwell award. Districts will receive written portion in May or early June.
- Various training opportunities this summer (e.g. DLC Summit June 14th, Murray State Teaching & Technology Summit June 7-8, Fayette’s Innovations for Learning Conference June 1, #KYGoDigital virtual event June 21, KY TeachMeet Series Week of July 18th).
