Congress has authorized Emergency Assistance to Non-Public Schools (EANS) under the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief Fund (GEER) of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act. This allows the Kentucky Department of Education to administer services to non-public schools in the state. Under this program any non-public or home school meeting certain criteria may apply to the state for reimbursement of COVID-19 related costs dating back to March 13, 2020 or for COVID-19 related services to be provided.
