Description: Teachers from across the state participate in six hours of research based strategies focusing on the conceptual understanding of fractions for grades 3-6. Participants will begin development of the conceptual understanding of fractions that will lead to a stronger understanding of fraction sense and working with operations and fractions, connect the conceptual understanding of the Common Core content in Number and Operations—Fractions, grades 3-6, and develop an awareness of the Standards for Mathematical Practice and their connection to conceptual teaching and learning.
