The Transition Readiness indicator demonstrates that the student has attained the necessary knowledge, skills and dispositions to successfully transition to the next level of his or her education career. There are different expectations for the demonstration of transition readiness for elementary, middle and high school levels. The high school level will also include any English Learner who received services during high school. An explanation of how Transition Readiness will be used in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 accountability system is included in the video.
Join Michael Hackworth and Chris Williams from the Office of Assessment and Accountability with their guests Robin McCoy from the Office of Teaching and Learning and Kiley Whitaker from the Office of Career and Technical Education to learn more about the Transition Readiness indicator.
